Hi, I’m Sarah-Jane Pike - that’s where Made by SJP comes from!

Made by SJP began during lockdown, when I started sewing scrub bags for the NHS using old duvet covers. Once they were no longer needed, I was left with a stack of beautiful fabric - far too lovely to throw away. So, I made a dress… and just like that, the first Made by SJP piece was born.

What started as a hobby quickly became a passion for rescuing preloved textiles and transforming them into something new. I’ve been sewing ever since - creating one-of-a-kind garments that are as unique as the fabrics they’re made from.

As demand grew, so did the team! I now work alongside a small group of talented local seamstresses who help bring each piece to life. We all sew from the comfort of our own homes, and everyone is paid fairly for their craft - no corners cut, no sacrifices made, unlike the fast fashion industry. My mum also helps me source, wash and iron all the fabrics which is a full time job in it's self!

We source our fabrics from car boot sales, charity shops, and generous donations from the local community. Old bedding, curtains, tablecloths if it’s got potential, we’ll give it a new lease of life.
